Editor’s Note: I’m happy to resume our “Bringing Learning to Learners” blog series! This time we focus on LMS Salesforce integration and how it can bring hard to train salespeople back into the fold.
Salespeople. They’re undoubtedly one of the most important divisions within your organization. No sales, no company, right? But they’re also undoubtedly one of the hardest divisions to train consistently.
They’re busy. They’re never at their desk. And they don’t have the time or energy to learn another system. (LMS is often a dirty word!)
Why, then, do we try to fight their nature? Why don’t we, instead, embrace it and deliver training when, where and how they want it?
LMS Salesforce Integration
In our first Bringing Learning to Learners blog, LMS Salesforce integration was listed as one of the top five ways Expertus is delivering learning “at the point of least resistance”—basically in areas targeted learning groups are most likely to see and in forms that they’re most likely to understand.
For salespeople, this is Salesforce. They know it. They love it. They rarely use anything else!
That’s why the ExpertusONE for Salesforce App provides full LMS access, content and training from within the Salesforce UI. Salespeople simply click their “My Training” tab in Salesforce and immediately see:
- What training’s up next (drawing from their profile information),
- Tailored training announcements and alerts, and
- A link to get started
It delivers their learning on a silver platter.
Two-way or No way
There’s an important distinction here. Not all LMS Salesforce integrations are equal. Some just provide links that take users out of Salesforce back to the LMS—a system that they often don’t know and is painfully slow. Others keep users in Salesforce, but behind the scenes link to another instance of their organization’s LMS. So nothing’s updated in real-time, which creates redundancies and other training data errors.
ExpertusONE, however, has two-way integration. So your sales teams can leverage ExpertusONE’s gamification, analytics and mobile tools, and your learning team can auto-sync all Salesforce-based training data to their reporting systems. How’s that for convenient!
Make It Easy
The easier you make training to find and take, the more likely salespeople are to bite. It’s just that simple.
